8 MM 10 MP Wide-Field Machine Vision Lens for 1-Inch C-Mount Cameras

The Kyptec Automation® 8 MM 10 MP Machine Vision Lens is a short-focal-length optical solution designed for industrial cameras using up to a 1-inch image format. It combines wide-field imaging geometry with 10 megapixel resolving capability, C-mount compatibility and an F1.8–16 aperture range.

An 8 MM focal length produces substantially wider angular coverage than longer machine vision lenses when used with the same sensor. This characteristic can be valuable when a large object area must fit within the camera image from a restricted working distance. Pairing such a short focal length with a relatively large 1-inch sensor also places significant demands on sensor coverage, making the specified image format an important part of lens selection.

The F1.8 maximum aperture provides comparatively strong light-gathering capability. This can be useful when the imaging system operates with limited exposure time or when available illumination must be used efficiently. The aperture can also be stopped down to F16 when greater depth of field is required.
